Pomegranates and cranberries

This season is off to a great start with Wisconsin cranberries. Did you know cranberries are native to North America? We just celebrated Indigenous People's Day and we owe the existence of the cranberry to them. Quick tip: try them in salad with our heirloom apples. Simply dice the cranberries, toss them in sugar and let them sit overnight. Add them to the salad with the apples as fresh topper.

The Season has also started in California for pomegranates. This is one of the oldest fruits around. I’m talking like 7,000 years ago! You think I’m old? Want to add these to the salad also? Go right ahead, it's delicious!
